In the picture, he leaves this world like an arrow. Although he could not choose his fate, he seems to have embraced it in the last moments of his life. Had he not fallen, he might have soared through the air. He seemed relaxed, mastering this unimaginable sport without effort, unafraid of gravity or the fate that awaited him. ——Tom Junod
