Under the moonlight, many secrets are hidden.

What: characterised by the isolation of the island at night when the tide rises

My thoughts: Compared to now, if it hadn't been discovered during World War II, the island would probably be an uninhabited\unnamed island, unknown to the world. During World War II, fortifications were built on the island. When looking at cramond island from afar after high tide, I think of it as a secret base, lonely, but safe, leaving its secrets on the island where no one knows about them.
