The 2013 collapse of the Sawa district building in Bangladesh refers to the catastrophic collapse of an 8-story building in Sawa Township, Dhaka County, Bangladesh on April 24, 2013. The death toll reached 1,134 and about 2,500 were injured. It surpassed the 2012 Dhaka fire that occurred 5 months ago and became one of the most serious industrial accidents in Bangladesh. The death toll in this event exceeded the collapse of the Sanfeng department store, making it the world’s largest number of people killed by the collapse of a building Disaster event.

I searched for information and found that in 2013, a fast fashion garment factory in Bangladesh collapsed, causing many casualties. The fast fashion fast and accurate sales model is really a bloody reality.
I explored the fast fashion sales model and the huge industrial chain behind it. Its manufacturers are concentrated in the southern hemisphere, and the clothing produced is delivered to sales outlets at the fastest speed every day.
The manpower sacrificed behind fast fashion has been countless.
We also found out that fast fashion has an unknown sales strategy.
business strategy:Planned obsolescence
Planning a product with an artificially limited useful life. The manufacturer generate long-term sales volume by reducing the time between repeat purchases.
Because after the definition of fast fashion, besides the sales model, there is also fast fashion clothing. So I also researched about fast fashion consumers.
We only did a survey questionnaire, focusing on the following questions for fast fashion consumer groups:
1、Have you bought too fast fashion products?
2、How often do you buy fast fashion products on average?
3、What are your main considerations when buying fast fashion products?
4、How long do you wear fast-fashion clothes and what will you do if you don’t wear them?
5、Do you understand the environmental pollution problems behind the production of fast fashion products?
6、If you hold an event whose theme is hand-knitting or fabric making, are you interested in participating?
Finally we sorted the data.
We found that :
(1)Consumers are mostly concentrated in women in their twenties.
(2)Most people buy fast fashion at least once every three months because of its low prices and rapidly updated styles.
(3)However, most people don't wear them for more than a year, and most are thrown away or donated.
According to our questionnaire survey, we found that fast Fashion has accelerated product scrapping and consumer purchases through a planned obsolescence strategy, creating a fast fashion culture.
Finally, I put the above survey in a flow chart, which is more intuitive: the internal influence exacerbates the external influence.
